A riveting tale that stood up historically and still told a great story. I have read a few different versions of Hugh Glass’ harrowing tale of revenge seeking over the years and Punke’s stood tall among the rest. I haven’t had a chance to see the movie yet, but I am sure they changed much of the ending. Reality has a tendency to be a bit stranger and more of a let down at times.
See the film, but take the time to dig into Punke’s historical novel as well. It is well worth it.
